About
With a degree in Public Administration from the American University of Beirut, her artistic journey has led her in a different direction.
Having lived in both Lebanon and France, her work reflects a blend of influences from the East and West. This fusion manifests as a form of transcendence in her art, bridging diverse cultures and sensibilities.
In her experimentation with materials, colors, and compositions, she takes ordinary elements and situates them in unfamiliar contexts. Her approach questions how people usually see everyday things. Her artworks feel positive, suggesting a sense of freedom from society's rules.
Lina Maalouf Husseini's pioneering innovation lies in the use of PVC as her primary medium. A collaborative duo emerged with her husband Roland Husseini, an engineer and specialist in PVC material. Their partnership combines creativity and technical expertise to produce unique and unconventional artworks.Working at high temperatures, they skillfully manipulate the materials. The meticulous handcrafted work of the Husseini Duo retains an element of spontaneity..
She exhibited in Beirut, New York, Miami, Marseille, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. She also participated in auctions dedicated to humanitarian causes.
Her PVC sculpture « Together » is part of the permanent collection of the Peoria Riverfront Museum, in Peoria, Illinois.

I am thrilled to unveil a collective exhibition at The Ritz-Carlton DIFC in Dubai, alongside a talented group of fellow artists, curated by Dr. Tony Karam. For one month, The Ritz-Carlton DIFC will serve as the platform to showcase the works of 17 Lebanese artists, including my own. I'm especially honored that seven PVC sculptures from my diverse collections have been chosen to grace this prestigious venue.
During this month of February, I will be presenting at Ultar Beirut Art Gallery three sculptures with the theme: "LOVE'S PARADOX: attracting and repelling in harmony". She & He, Heart To Heart, and Love Me Do evoke, in three different ways, the love relationship that two beings can have, whether they attract or repel each other like a magnet.

The Lebanese American University in New York City in collaboration with Artscoops is thrilled to announce the launch of an exhibition and a benefit online art auction, titled Art to Learn, Art to Live, that will run from September 6 to 19, 2022. This exhibition will feature a wide range of works by notable artists from Lebanon working with various media, and spans everything from inventive abstract work and thought-provoking portraits to photography and design. Art to Learn, Art to Live has taken flight thanks to the generous donations from artists trying to help their home country. Anxiety, joyfulness, and other feelings are each given their own pedestal in this series of installation. Thirteen pieces representing different situations and emotions that people experience on a daily basis are presented. They are to be considered and reflected upon as they reveal hidden sentiments. The mixed medium art pieces look like three dimensional paintings, with key elements highlighted in color and effectively 'popping' out of the flat background surface. The artworks err on the threshold of paintings and sculpture, but remain simple in their composition. Hands play a thematic role along with abstract shapes and elementary shades of red, blue, yellow, orange and green, all juxtaposed against dark neutral tones of black and grey.
