The Ebtedy Talks were created within the context of the Ebtedy Knowledge Platform (https://www.ebtedy.com/en/home) and belong to the project “Cultural and Creative Industries”, which is implemented by the GIZ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut. It improves employment and income opportunities for creative professionals in six partner countries; Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Kenya, Senegal, and South Africa and operates mainly in the music, fashion, design and animation sectors. In addition to promoting the development of entrepreneurial, digital, creative and technical skills through training programmes, the project aims to strengthen the framework conditions and the ecosystem of the cultural and creative industries.​

Anxiety, joyfulness, and other feelings are each given their own pedestal in this series of installation. Thirteen pieces representing different situations and emotions that people experience on a daily basis are presented. They are to be considered and reflected upon as they reveal hidden sentiments. The mixed medium art pieces look like three dimensional paintings, with key elements highlighted in color and effectively 'popping' out of the flat background surface. The artworks err on the threshold of paintings and sculpture, but remain simple in their composition. Hands play a thematic role along with abstract shapes and elementary shades of red, blue, yellow, orange and green, all juxtaposed against dark neutral tones of black and grey.
